With the release of her sixth album, “Woman,” in 2019, Ireland-born, Berlin-based Wallis Bird toured extensively all over the world, with shows in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Japan and across Europe. The year 2020 was not a quiet one for Wallis as she began her Retrospective Session' concert series of six monthly concerts. In each show, Wallis performed one of her six albums in virtual concerts streamed live from various venues including Berlin’s oldest queer club, a soccer stadium and a luxury spa. Wallis recently released a new album, “Hands: Nine and a Half Songs for Nine and a Half Fingers,” the title referring to a limitation Wallis has chosen to recognize as vital to her lived reality. The themes of the new album are personal, and some hark back to the artist’s early childhood.
